The announcement article can be found here, but for your convenience the shortlist is replicated below.<\/p>\n<p>The Aurealis Awards are Australia&#8217;s premier speculative fiction awards, and are judged rather than decided through a popular vote. My first reaction is one of surprise at how few of the finalists I have actually read.
